Alliances in the Game
Alliances are a core part of the game, allowing you to team up with other players, gain support, and participate in exciting events like Alliance Wars. Here’s a comprehensive guide to how alliances work, including how to join, create, manage, and interact with them.
Getting Started with Alliances
Alliance Button: Located on your city screen, the Alliance Button opens the alliance menu, where you can manage or explore alliance features.
Alliance Size: Each alliance can have up to 80 members.
Benefits of Joining an Alliance
Get help from other members with building, research, and more.
Participate in Alliance Wars and other campaigns.
Unlock special rewards only available through alliances.
If You’re Not in an Alliance
If you’re not part of an alliance, clicking the Alliance Button opens a menu with two options:
Create
Enter an Alliance Name in the provided username field.
Choose an Alliance Profile Icon from a selection of flag icons (a menu opens at the bottom for picking one).
Pay 100 Gems to create the alliance. If you don’t have enough gems, you’ll see an error: “Insufficient Gems.”
Join
View a table of invitation requests from alliances. Accepting an invitation joins you to that alliance.
If the alliance is full (80 members), the invitation is removed, and you can’t join.
Alternatively, clicking Join takes you to the Ranking Menu, where you can explore and apply to alliances.
Alliance Menu for Members
Once you’re in an alliance (as a Regular Member, Elder, Co-Leader, or Leader), the Alliance Menu opens with two main sections: Info and Members. Here’s what you’ll see based on your role:
Info Section
Displays the alliance’s profile icon, name, bio, and medals.
Medals (Loot, Assault, Defense) are displayed in a pyramid layout:
Leave Alliance Button: Available for all members except non-members viewing the alliance. Clicking it shows a confirmation prompt
Editing Options (for Elder, Co-Leader, Leader):
Click the name to change the alliance name
Click the profile icon to select a new one from the flag icon menu.
Click the bio to edit it. A Confirm button appears,
Members Section
Lists all alliance members, sorted by total population.
Clicking a member’s name opens their public profile (with a Back button).
For non-members viewing an alliance, this section shows members without additional action buttons.
For members with roles (Elder, Co-Leader, Leader), additional buttons appear next to each member’s name, depending on your authority:
Regular Member: Only sees the Profile button.
Elder
For Regular Members: Profile, Promote to Elder, Remove.
Cannot remove or demote other Elders or higher ranks.
Co-Leader
For Regular Members: Profile, Promote to Elder, Promote to Co-Leader, Remove.
For Elders: Profile, Promote to Co-Leader, Demote to Regular, Remove.
For other Co-Leaders: Only Profile.
Leader
For Regular Members: Profile, Promote to Elder, Promote to Co-Leader, Remove.
For Elders: Profile, Promote to Co-Leader, Demote to Regular, Remove.
For Co-Leaders: Profile, Demote to Elder, Demote to Regular, Remove.
For themselves: Only Profile.
Remove Player Prompt: When removing a player, a confirmation appears
Manage Section (For Elder, Co-Leader, Leader)
The Manage section is exclusive to Elders, Co-Leaders, and Leaders and includes two subsections:
Manager
Invite Players: Send invitations to players. After sending, you’ll see: “Invitation sent.” If you’ve already invited the player, an error shows: “You have already sent an invitation.”
Approve/Reject Requests: Review membership requests. If a player has joined another alliance, approving their request removes it from the list, and you’ll see: “The player is a member of another alliance.”
Leader Panel (Leader only)
Transfer Ownership: Transfer leadership to another member. The former Leader becomes a Co-Leader, and the new Leader gains full access to the Leader Panel.
Transfer Cups: Distribute alliance cups (earned every 15 days from Alliance Wars and medals) to members.
Rewards Section (Leader Only)
Located in the Leader Panel, this section allows the Leader to distribute Alliance Cups:
View the total number of cups earned from Alliance Wars and medals every 15 days.
Click Members to open a list of alliance members (including the Leader).
Select a member, enter the number of cups to send, and click Send.
After sending, you’ll see: “The cups were sent.” The cups are added to the recipient’s Market building in their Cups section.
Alliance Chat
The Chat Button is on the city screen and opens the Alliance Chat for members.
Chat Layout
Your messages appear on the right, while others’ messages are on the left.
Shared Reports: Messages with battle reports appear in different colors based on context:
Blue: If the player has active protection.
Green: If the player is attacking others.
Red: Default for other reports.
Clicking a shared report opens only the report details (not the full message menu) for all members to view.
If you’re not in an alliance, clicking the Chat Button opens the same menu as the Alliance Button (with Create and Join options).
Key Notes
Leaving as Leader: If the Leader leaves the alliance, the alliance is disbanded, and all members become alliance-less.
Protection and Alliances: The protection system (explained previously) interacts with alliances, as attacking removes protection, which may influence alliance strategies.
